Join our campaign against FGM in the UK. There is growing public knowledge about FGM. But too many people are still unaware that FGM goes on here in the UK; that vulnerable girls here remain unprotected and that this crime continues to go unpunished.
For the most part FGM is carried out on girls under the age of 15, with the majority of cases occurring between the ages of 5 and 8.
FGM is child abuse and should be dealt with as such. Too many people in the UK remain unaware of what actually happens during the FGM process; how violent it is and the ongoing mental and health consequences.
To all members of the public: we ask you to take a hard look at what a young girl will actually go through when undergoing FGM. This abuse is happening in the UK.
This is why we must act, and act now. We need your support. We need you to sign up to our campaign to ensure that the law is enforced and that the safeguarding of these girls is ensured.
